AvaTrade (fomerly AvaFX) was founded in 2006. It´s one of the worlds leading online forex brokers with it´s own in house software of Ava Fx. Choose from Silver, Gold, Platinum & Premium accounts ($100 minimum for Silver, $1000 for Gold, $10,000 for Platinum and $100,000 for Premium).
Ava Fx customer accounts are audited quarterly by Ernst & Young.
and funds are banked with Commerzbank of Frankfurt.

If we were to try and summarise the main pros and cons, we’d say AVATrade offers one of the best range of investments to trade on the market, with some very neat platforms to trade on (the iPad app is particularly good), although on balance we’d go for Easy Forex for iPhone trading. On the negative side, the spreads are higher than many other brokers- but they do not charge a commision. They also have an option for professional who are looking for ultra- tight spreads called the MT4 Floating spread account. When you trade using a floating spread account the gap between the Bid and Ask is constantly updated in real time according to the best quotes available from their liquidity partners – some of the biggest banks in the world. If you are trading on one of these accounts, the spreads can go as low as 0.9 pips (but you’ll need to trade on MT4).

AvaTrade is an online forex broker with a choice of trading platforms that is pitched at both novices and more experienced users alike. Basically if you are beginner, go for Ava Trader and if you are more of an expert go for Meta Trader. The system is pretty user-friendly and simple. They also have a Mobile trading platform which is browser based and forex apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile & Blackberry (pretty much everything covered there then).
AvaFX offers its customers 4 types of forex auto trading: Ava Autotrader, Zulutrade, Algorithmic Trading and API Trading. This is not for everyone, but you can choose from a range of strategies, and “buy” the strategy that has performed best in your chosen period of time. Once you “buy” the strategy, it starts executing buy and sell orders in your forex trading account, allowing you execute trades 24 hours a day automatically.
Ava FX offers pretty tight fixed spreads on a special Floating Spread account. They are right up there with the slim spread boys. On their other platforms, the spreads a bit above average, we’d say, but you do get a fantastic suite of tools, 24-hour-a-day trading, 55 currency pairs plus CFDs on metals, commodities and stock indices. They charge no commission and you can have your account in Euros or US Dollars, as you wish.

Another important point about AVATrade, is that they ring fence client asset accounts in line with European financial regulations.

Client assets are completely separate from other assets of the Ava Group.
